Day 1 - the flight. Tuesday dec 11 (and Wed)
We had been dreading the flight.  23 hours to BKK,  mostly because we weren't sure about Delta.  But it was surprisingly manageable as. The flights were comfortable.   The only hitch waS the long layover in Seattle.  Oddly enough it was cheaper to fly out of YVR via SEA rather than just take theleg from SEA.

Had a quick stop in Tokyo. Wanted to buy a knick knack but Simmi rightly quashed the idea.  Lots of Japanese people. Duh.

We arrived to a warm night around midnight in Bangkok.  Immigration was painless and it was 400 baht to the Asia Hotel.  We passed out right away, tired.
